A restful rainy day – and dinner at « home »

While French food is renowned around the world, there are still times when you just want a quiet dinner at home, along with a bottle of wine to savor together. And that’s what we had. Plus we had the best view in town from our apartment so why go elsewhere? We moved the table by the window …

Chef Christine went into action. We bought an artichoke, after seeing tens of thousands growing in fields by the side of the road. We bought a head of lettuce, some other veggies to accompany, some eggs to boil and some shrimp to top it all off! The artichoke went first and it was fabulous, the best either of us had ever had. Then we each assembled a salad and ate slowly while watching the tide come in. A nice meal.

The day had been quiet with all the passing squalls of rain, but we got some short walks out on the quai and around town.

Love it! Wow, check out that low tide! 🚤

  2. Looks like you found a place with one of those chefs that France is famous for!
