We originally planned on doing a slow tour of Brittany for 6 weeks or so, then circling back through Roscoff, taking the ferry back to Plymouth and then the train to Guildford, staying a few days there and then flying from London to Helsinki to travel with our friends there and then a few weeks of unplanned time and then flying to Slovakia for a month long dog/house sitting for our friend Martin in Bratislava. But that has all changed.
Yesterday, it became clear that our previous plans would not pan out. As we have all learned during Covid, nothing is sure. 😳And so, we decided to simply (?) ride our bikes from where we are in Brittany, France to Bratislava, Slovakia using the EuroVelo 6, a trip of approximately 1,500 miles (2,400 km)! We will cross through 5 countries. We are excited! I’ve thought about this trip for a few years. We started riding East yesterday…
