We left our cozy apartment after morning squalls wet the pavement and further cooled the air. It was a short day to Nevers, giving us some time to relax and enjoy the voyage.
The day started with a cat and Chris the cat whisperer lured another off the side of the road for some snuggles. Quite a few feral cats around so many are not so ready to engage with random humans.
One of the cooler sights today was another canal on a bridge (Pont Canal) over a river. I had no idea that there were so many canals in France but there are and we follow them on our route. the first video is Chris walking along the canal, with the river below. The second video is the process of getting boats from canal height to the next canal height, a drop of 31 ft!
We arrived in Nevers with enough time and energy to explore. Cool town! Chris noted that the town looked like it must be used in movies, and it is!
