We had made plans to take a train to Bratislava in the case of bad weather, but when we woke the skies were cloudy but there was no rain and the forecast was good enough that we decided to finish what we started! On two wheels!
There was a steady tail wind for the majority of our ride to Bratislava, which made quick work of the 40 miles into the city.
As we approached the city of Bratislava, it was with mixed emotions. It was hard to believe that what we had started a couple months previous in the northwest corner of France was finally coming to a close. It has been an amazing voyage.
Chris remembered a nice coffee shop in the old town from a few years previous, so we stopped there on our way to Martin’s to caffeinate for the final 10 miles. ☕️
And then, just at the end of Martin’s street, we stopped again to drink a celebratory bubbly before riding the final yards.
Chris picked out the sound track and we whooped down the street. Martin was waiting at the end of the driveway. We had arrived.
