Four luxurious nights in Regensburg

Our friend Jane from Liverpool is coming down to Regensburg to spend a few days with us, so we rented a nice apartment. We spent a month in her place in Tenerife so we wanted her to have a cool place to hang out with us. The apartment ended being even better than we expected! We’ll get some time off the bike and be tourists and simply hang out in this lovely town with its medieval core.

Regensburg is a popular tourist destination and it’s enough to simply walk the narrow streets to be enthralled. There are tons of restaurants and bars too, and bicycles rule for transportation.

We ate out once and cooked in the kitchen the rest of the time. We got some restaurant recommendations from friends and that turned out great. We had sausages and sauerkraut one day for lunch at the oldest continuously operated restaurant in the world. Iconic and good!

  1. Deluxe! Quite a switch from camping –

    1. Yup, and we are back to the tent tonight! We enjoyed indoor plumbing, a big bed, and lots of comfortable chairs. It was great!

  2. I want an elevator! I wonder how hard that would be to add to our house as we age?

    1. The other nice part about the building is that it had an elevator big to take our bikes up to the seventh floor where the apartment started.
